Our operations

Nordic Aviation Technology Centre was founded in 1990 in the city of Lulea. Our vast experience has lead to successful co-operations with a large number of aviation companies. Our staff is highly qualified and we emphasize further training for the personnel and international networking.

We are a local goverment owned company that educate in the upper secondary school and university level. We are located at Kallax Airport about 10 km. from Lulea in the north part of Sweden.

Nordic Aviation Technology Centre educate aircraft mechanics and technicians with special emphasis on general aviation and helicopter. Aeronautical Engineering course is one of Lulea`s local profile branches. The education has an national recruitment.

We follow both the Swedisch Education Act provisions, and the European aviation regulations managed by EASA (European Aviaton Safety Agency). The training organisation in Lulea has training license to the provision of EASA with permit number SE.147.0004.

Lulea is the largest centre of transportation and communications in northern Sweden.

Big worldwide IT-companies start to establish in Lulea starting with Facebook. Facebook`s new server farm in Lulea is the firm`s first outside U.S. Facebook loked at several places across Europe, and picked Lulea for its cold climate.

Kallax Airport is the forth largest airport in Sweden and the point of intersection for air traffic - regionally, nationally and internationally.

The commercial and chartered air service increases every year with a growing number of destinations. Consequently, Kallax Airport is expanding and attracts more operators within the field of aviation.

Kallax Airport has the longest runway in Sweden and the aim is to make the airport into an international point of intersection, also for air-freight, and a centre of aviation technology where Sweden, Finland, Norway and Russia find opportunities to co-operate over the borders
