För att söka in till flygtekniker behövs förutom grundläggande gymnasiekompetens minst godkänt betyg enligt:
GY25:
- Engelska nivå 2a, 100 poäng
- Matematik nivå 2a, 100 poäng
- Fysik, nivå 1a1, 100 poäng/alternativt Naturkunskap 1b, 100 poäng/alternativt Naturkunskap nivå 1a1 50 poäng tillsammans med minst 50 poäng totalt i kurser teknik, el, installation, automation, industriteknik samt fordsonsteknik.
GY11:
- Engelska kurs 6
- Matematik kurs 2a
- Fysik 1b1 eller 1a / alternativt Naturkunskap 1b / alternativt Naturkunskap 1a1 tillsammans med minst 50 gymnasiepoäng totalt i kurser inom ämnen som Teknik, El, Installation, Automation, Industriteknik samt Fordonsteknik.
- Sökande behöver även behärska svenska språket väl.
If you are missing a course but can show grades that show that you can still complete the education (for example, very good high school grades), you may be admitted. In some cases, we may also admit applicants who can somehow demonstrate other equivalent knowledge.

The education is suitable for those who are interested in technology and who want a job that is both practical and theoretical. You should also like order and taking responsibility, because as an aircraft engineer you will work with many different systems with a focus on safety.
To study to become an aircraft engineer, you should enjoy studying because half of the training time is theoretical, with most of the material in English. The second part of the training is located in the hangar, where you get to work practically with different systems.
