As an aircraft technican, you must hold an EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) to perform maintenance activities. The Part-66 Maintenance License gives you the right to sign the Certificate of Release the Service (CRS) which is required for airworthiness.
To apply for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence you need to pass the exams of your relevant licence category and fill your experience log-book.
The majority of EASA examinations are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) examinations which vary in size dependent on the module, the pass mark for all examinations is 75%.
After successfully passing the Part-66 Module Examination you will receive a Certificate of Recognition (COR). This certificate (COR) will remain valid for a period of 10 years, when you have recieved your EASA part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License (AML) it will remain for life.
